Description
Deliciously cheesy cruffins with garlic butter filling, perfect for a snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
Scale
- ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 4 garlic cloves (finely chopped or minced)
- 2 ¼ cups grated mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 1 sheet ready-made puff pastry (chilled, not frozen)
- 2 Tbsp melted butter
- Extra chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, shredded mozzarella, grated parmesan, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper until fully incorporated.
- Prepare the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the sheet of puff pastry until you have a larger rectangle that is approx. 11×15 inches. Spread the prepared cheesy garlic butter mixture evenly over the entire surface of the pastry.
- Form the Cruffins: Starting from one edge, roll the pastry tightly into a log, similar to a jelly roll. Slice the rolled pastry into 6–8 equal pieces. Place each piece, cut-side up, into a greased or lined muffin tin.
- Bake: Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the cruffins are puffed and golden brown.
- Finish and Serve: While still hot, brush the cruffins with melted butter and garnish with additional chopped parsley. Serve warm.
Notes
- Make sure the puff pastry is chilled for easier handling.
- These cruffins are best enjoyed warm from the oven.
