This Strawberry Cream Cheese French Toast Casserole is the perfect make-ahead breakfast for any occasion!

- 1 loaf French bread cut into 1-inch cubes
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups fresh strawberries sliced
- 8 large eggs
- 2 ½ cups milk
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup maple syrup or honey
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
- Extra strawberries and whipped cream for serving
Instructions
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and spread half the bread cubes in the bottom.
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Drop spoonfuls over the bread layer.
- Sprinkle half of the strawberries on top.
- Add the remaining bread cubes and top with the rest of the strawberries.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cream, and maple syrup until combined. Pour evenly over the bread mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours).
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes, until golden and set in the middle.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve with whipped cream and extra strawberries.
Notes
- Make sure to use stale bread for better texture.
- This dish can be assembled the night before to save time in the morning.
