Description

Delicious homemade tacos filled with seasoned ground beef and fresh toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • Optional: sour cream, salsa, sliced jalapeños

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes.
  3. Drain excess fat, then stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  4. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until soft and pliable.
  5. Spoon the seasoned beef evenly onto each tortilla.
  6. Top with lettuce, cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, and red onion. Add optional toppings such as sour cream, salsa, or sliced jalapeños if desired.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can marinate the ground beef with the seasoning for an hour before cooking.
  • Adjust the level of spice by using mild or spicy taco seasoning.
