- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 2/3 cup water
- 8 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- Optional: sour cream, salsa, sliced jalapeños
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes.
- Drain excess fat, then stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the mixture thickens.
- Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until soft and pliable.
- Spoon the seasoned beef evenly onto each tortilla.
- Top with lettuce, cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, and red onion. Add optional toppings such as sour cream, salsa, or sliced jalapeños if desired.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can marinate the ground beef with the seasoning for an hour before cooking.
- Adjust the level of spice by using mild or spicy taco seasoning.
