Description

Delicious Cajun Chicken Sliders made with ground chicken, spices, and fresh vegetables, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 1 Onion (finely diced)
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper (finely diced)
  • 1 pound Ground Chicken
  • 12 Tablespoon Cajun Seasoning
  • 3 Cloves Garlic (minced or 1 Tablespoon pre-minced garlic)
  • 8 ounces Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon hot Sauce (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 4 Hamburger Buns

Instructions

  1. Melt the oil and butter in a large skillet over medium low heat.
  2. Add the diced onions and bell pepper. Sauté for 7-8 minutes until softened.
  3. Add in the ground chicken, breaking it up as it cooks. Cook for about 5 minutes until it starts to brown slightly.
  4. Season the chicken with the cajun seasoning. Cook for 3-5 more minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  5. Add in the garlic and cook for 1 minute until you can start to smell the garlic.
  6. Stir in the tomato sauce, brown sugar, hot sauce and salt. Mix until combined.
  7. Cook on low for 10-12 minutes, stirring frequently until the flavors are combined and sauce has thickened.
  8. Serve over the hamburger buns and enjoy!

  • For added flavor, let the mixture sit for a few minutes before serving.
